Tristan wanted to do something simple; create an American-made, modern style, handcrafted cider here at home. anyone who knows anything about winemaking knows that this is not as easy as it sounds. Especially coming from a completely different career. With schoolbooks studied, recipes developed, a supportive wife and family, and an unstoppable passion we are beyond excited to bring you some of the finest American craft cider you have ever tasted.

Launched in mid 2009, Albemarle CiderWorks is a family-run cidery and tasting room producing cider from heritage apples, including some from Thomas Jefferson’s experiments.

We have been making British-style ciders using local apples since 2012. Our English cider maker likes to make ciders from his birthplace in Eastern England with an American twist. All our ciders are slightly off-dry and aged before being ready to consume.

Heritage-inspired, housemade hard ciders served in a laid-back taproom with a trendy, eclectic atmosphere.

The founding of Old Hill Cidery was a joining of our love for food and drink and our devotion to keeping our farm relevant and sustainable for generations to come. From Orchard-Blossom to Bottle, we have nurtured and carefully crafted more than ten ciders. Our cidermaking team continually experiments and often presents new, small-batch ciders that are available exclusively on the farm.
