Bold Rock Mills River Cidery, a premier dining destination, proudly opened its doors in October 2015. Located just a short 20-minute drive from Downtown Asheville, our cidery is nestled amidst the bountiful farmlands of North Carolina. When you visit, you’ll discover the intricate process behind our cider, meticulously crafted from locally sourced apples harvested in Henderson County.
Known for creativity and an extensive barrel program, Botanist & Barrel was the first producer of Petillant Natural ciders in the southeastern US. Botanist & Barrel crafts real southern ciders, fruited sours, and wines. Focused on spontaneous, wild cultures and light-handed winemaking we embrace old world methods with modern sensibilities.
We offer 8 plus ciders, made in house, using apples located within a 350 mile radius. All ciders are gluten free, and are made with fresh and real ingredients. In addition to our own ciders, we have a mix of quality craft beers, wines and non-alcohol offerings.
With its welcoming cider garden and adjacent peach and apple orchards, James Creek Cider House is the perfect place to explore southern cider. Cidermakers, owners and orchardists, David and Ann Marie Thornton grow 97 types of apples, mostly varieties that were grown on family farms across the South before 1900. These old-timey apples have thick skins and rich flavors that contribute depth and character to the wine-like James Creek ciders.
We are a mom & pop orchard, cidery , winery , brewery and campground located on a prestine mountain top in the village of Little Switzerland NC , just minutes from the world renowned Blue Ridge Parkway.

Urban Orchard Cider Company is a small, family-owned and operated craft cidery based in Asheville, North Carolina. Founded in 2013, the company began as a home-based hobby inspired by a desire for more authentic, handcrafted ciders. Frustrated with the overly sweet, mass-produced options available at the time, Josie’s passion led her to England, where she studied traditional cider-making techniques before opening one of the first dedicated cider bars in the United States.
